Garrett Speaks

In an exclusive at The MMQB, watch Jason Garrett's complete opening speech at Cowboys training camp

On July 20, in his team meeting room a few long spirals from the Pacific Ocean, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett stepped to the front and laid out his hopes, plans, expectations and rules for the new season to kick off Cowboys training camp. To the best of my knowledge, I don’t believe a head coach’s full training-camp speech, the words and video, has ever seen the light of day … until now.

Would Parcells or Landry put up with guys playing with their iPad's during a speech?

Great stuff but honestly, can't we get an option to hear the swearing?  You're giving us 97% of the real deal which is great but we're greedy, we want the WHOLE thing.

I'm pretty sure he just quoted the movie Serendipity with his Ancient Greek/Passion comment around 3:20 or so.  See end of Serendipity when Jeremy Piven's (aka Ari Gold from Entourage) character says the exact same thing.  Jason Garrett must like his romantic comedies.

He sounds a bit like Ray Ramano. I'm sure he's not a comedian, though.

@NuclearPalsy absolutely not, but the organization uses iPad's as personal journals nowadays.  However I would see it as more of a distraction and not have them

@jcteniente Those are the ipads they give the players. It has the playbook and other team info on it. They are following along with Garrett's presentation.
