Buck2185 5pts Peter, I don't know which is worse, listening to you babble, or the air head Kluwe. Only you, would continue to bring this guy back. I feel bad for Ray guy, having to hear you two talk about him, what a shame....Please just break out your Patriot horn and start playing..... Wisconsin Death Trip 5pts The HOF won't be relevant until Jerry Kramer is in. It's a farce he isn't, but better late than never for Ray Guy. Waaaay overdue. The HOF should just use COMMON SENSE and vote players in by position. UrsaMajor 5pts Isn't it interesting (and refreshing and welcome) to hear a player say controversial things in an intelligent and rational manner? It's a sign of a superior mind to be able to disagree without being disagreeable (are you listening Richard Sherman? - although I will give Sherman some credit for his new article and the the praise he gave to team mates including last stringers)As well spoken as Kluwe was though, I thought he could have furthered his argument for Ray Guy by pointing out that Guy revolutionized the "hang time" game with his towering kicks. That should be one of the biggest criteria for HoF induction - did the player change how his position is played? Blues_head 5pts Really glad Ray Guy is in the Hall of Fame. Shameful that he was not in long ago. Ray Guy was a football player, he had a uniform and everything. To me at his position he was clearly great. Hall of Fame worthy for sure, probably should have been first ballot. kingwhat 5pts Hey Peter, you and Greg better get those shovels out for the Patriots. Gerry Callahan suggested that, if Toni Gonzalez came back to play for a contender, The collective talents of Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and his band of remarkable players would not be worthy enough for Tony. I wonder what Tom Brady thinks of that, considering that his gracious presence on Callahan's show on Monday mornings is the only reason people even listen in, in my view. JoeFelice 5pts Chris is a major stud! Shame on the Vikings for treating him this way. How do some people in such a progressive city and state come to be so ignorant and hateful as the Vikings' coaches? ChrisLund 5pts Chris Kluwe is awesome! Raiderados 5pts Guy was accused of putting helium into a football. That's like accusing someone of putting a super ball into a baseball or a magnet into a basketball. Hall of fame. TheHip1 5pts @unitcaptain11 Yes because the Raiders Lecher played for were a lot worse than Guy's teams, so Shane could just boot it from their own 25yd line and let it sail. Guy would be kicking from the 50yd line, aiming for the coffin corner (and where has that skill gone???) and pining the opponent inside their 20. Stats don NOT tell the story here and never will! Watch the game, Guy should have been a first ballot HOF. He changed the game, defined the position and is the greatest punter in the history of the NFL DaveInAZ 5pts @Raiderados Mythbusters tested that theory out. Filling a football with helium doesn't make it travel further or higher. In fact they found that the reduced mass of helium vs air at the same pressure actually reduced the inertia of the ball. BeholdTheWolverine 5pts @DaveInAZ @Raiderados Not to mention that if @Raiderados is correct, Guy would have had to have 100% control over ALL the footballs before and during the game to ensure that ONLY he had the helium-filled balloons when he punted. Otherwise, the advantage would be nullified, and I would think the Snake would be upset throwing footballs that had been doctored. "Theory" just doesn't add up on so many levels.
